What would you do if you had no memory of who you were?

For Tristan, this is no longer an academic question. He knows only his first name and that shiny daggers are usually dangerous. Given that the sorceress suddenly standing over him is clutching said shiny dagger, Tristan decides to run. He runs, sprinting away from the muddy banks of the Monongahela River until he finds himself cornered – exhausted, afraid, and confused – by a hulking werewolf.

Enter Phoenix “Nix” Morris. He’s just out for a late night wander through the streets of Hazelwood, in Pittsburgh, PA. He doesn’t expect to come across some skinny kid cowering from a werewolf. Nor does he expect any of what is to follow – least of all that said skinny kid is more Skilled in magic than anyone Nix has ever met.

Nix and Tristan, along with Nix’s aunt Tine, her queer platonic partner Monica, and the Sorcerer’s Guard must work together to find out not only who Tristan really is, but why the Cravia crime family wants him dead.
